New Cloud printing for Zebra printers: set up once, print from anywhere

How it works

From empty racks to live work.

Five steps to run your warehouse on Caddy. We do them with you.

  1. 01

    Map your warehouse

Add each warehouse with its time zone. Generate bins from a rule (zones A–F, aisles 01–12, and so on), then print rack labels and check them off as they go up.

  2. 02

    Bring in your products

Import your product list from CSV. Columns are matched for you, and every row is checked before anything is saved.

  3. 03

    Pair your scanners

An admin creates a one-time pairing code for each scanner. Every worker gets a 6-digit PIN.

  4. 04

    Connect your printers

Send a setup file to each Zebra printer once. It connects to Caddy over the internet; no computer or driver needed.

    Go live

Release ASNs and orders. The work shows up on scanners as tasks, and the dashboard shows the floor as it happens.

What you need

Hardware you may already have.

Handheld scanners

Android handhelds with a built-in barcode reader. The Caddy app runs on them; we set the reader up for it with you.

Zebra label printers

Link-OS printers such as the ZD420, with 4 × 6, 4 × 2 or 3 × 5 in labels.

A web browser

The dashboard runs in any modern browser, for the office and supervisors.

Questions

Do printers need a computer next to them?

No. A cloud printer connects to Caddy on its own over Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Scanners can also print to a nearby printer over Bluetooth.

What happens when the Wi-Fi drops?

Scanners retry their writes safely: each scan is applied once, even if it was sent twice. Workers see clearly when something wasn't confirmed.

Does a count change our stock right away?

No. Differences are held until an admin approves them, and the approval is kept in the stock history.

Can we run more than one warehouse?

Yes. Each warehouse has its own bins, work queue and clock, and the dashboard can show one or all of them.

Can we bring our existing product list?

Yes, from a CSV file. You can run the import as a dry run first to see exactly what will change.
